New (Almost Finished) Drawing: Monica Autenzio

You may notice that just about every time I post a new drawing I say it's "in-progress" or "almost finished." This is because, although I think I'm done with a drawing, when I photograph a piece I usually notice changes that need to be made when the images are side-by-side on my monitor. That's just how it goes. I'll make minor or major changes up until the final photograph that is taken before the drawing is framed. Just sayn'.

Anyhow... this is my old friend Monica Autenzio. You may know her from Best of Baltimore hair stylist fame (Studio 1612.) She does the best. Color. Ever.

New Portrait: Marguerite Weber

Here is another portrait for my show at University of Baltimore, Marguerite Weber (professor.)

I still have a bunch of photos to share from my trip last weekend. As soon as I get a minute they'll be up. I have to draw/work/draw today, but I'll be out tomorrow to photograph your cute little mugs. I will be at Windup for the Sal Bando/Slow Jets/Snowmen show w/ maybe a pit stop at Metro Gallery for Lo Moda.

Getting There Is Half the Fun

The weekend was a blast! I haven't done it that hard in a LONG time. Here are a few shots of us just us getting into town. I obvy have a ton more to show you, but I gots to draw before work, so you probably won't see the next batch (w/ more exciting stuff like dress up clothes) until tonight. Hold your horses!

What a Weekend...

Showing off my bling while we ride in the Escalade to dinner... that's how we roll.

The weekend was a blast. I am still recovering. And downloading photos. Lots of photos. I probably have 300 to go through on my camera alone, so you gotta give me a minute to pick out the gems. I have casual encounters, lots of dancing, maybe some falling down (or maybe you will never get to see those...), some red carpet and more bling. So much fun. Stay tuned.

Dis What's Up...

Birthday Girl

I know I've sorta had a lack of posts this week... I'm on mucho drawing schedule and tomorrow I'm heading to NYC. It's Natasha's b-day and we're gonna party in the big apple for a couple of days. Do you know what that means? It means you are gonna get a ton of photos next week. I've also finished a new drawing, you'll see that soon too.

New (Almost-Finished) Portrait:Helmand Karzai

You know, I debated long and hard, "draw the mustache/give the guy a clean upper lip." Although the mustache thing is pretty trendy these days, and when Helmand has one he starts capturing muggers (*true*), I just decided he looks better without it. So, there you go.

This drawing is almost done... I have a little value to add on the left cheek and some other minor adjustments to make. This is the first of 20 new drawings that will be included in my up-coming show at University of Baltimore in May. Stay tuned. I have to draw like 3 a week to be finished in time...

Back to the drawing board (no I di-ent!)
