1. Don't Hate: I like to say, "haters are never famous." Hating on your competition, or something that you don't especially like or understand makes you boring. Although you may feel that you have the superior opinion/taste, hating keeps your options limited. You are not open to all possibilities. When you hate on something/one it doesn't make you look better or superior, it makes you look defensive and threatened by that which you hate... not to mention the old adage that "all press is good press." Why throw the object of your hate a bone by talking about it? Hating also makes you angry and/or bitter...and that's boring (although in some cases funny to watch.) This goes for rival bands, artists, DJs, scenesters, social groups, businesses, etc.
2. You Don't Always Have To Be Right One Up. Smarty Pants are boring. If you are smart it shows without you trying to prove yourself. It's natural. Know-it-all comments (especially in response to social media posts) are often made by people who have missed the jest in the original post/remark. This is not smart. This is boring. This also applies to correcting people's grammar. Believe me I understand the spine tingling cringe that one experiences when your, you're, there, their, they're, etc are used incorrectly. I've had to hold myself back many times from pointing this out. Just let it go and think of it as part of natural selection.
"If you can prove you're right you're set in concrete. You cannot move with the times or with other people. Being right is also boring. Your mind is closed you are not open to new ideas....So: it's wrong to be right, because people who are right are rooted in the past, rigid-minded, dull and smug."
-Paul Arden
3. Be Nice. Be open to meeting all types of productive people. Don't be exclusive. You never know where making an acquaintance may take you. Sure, I've gone through phases of snobbery, but it's not worth it. It's limiting. Limits are boring. Be nice to people. You don't have to hang out with them. You don't even really have to like them. They may be boring. Just be nice. It doesn't hurt, promise.
You're welcome.

Your so right. Pointing out the grammatical errors of others is so boring. Our people ever going to stop doing that?
