New Painting: Ryan Jedlicka

It felt great to FINALLY be painting one of my friends. Commissions are sweet, don't get me wrong, but it brings a smile to my face to walk into my studio and see one of my buddies looking back at me from my easel. Also, when creating a portrait of my choice, I have full artistic freedom. I like that.

This time I painted my super talented friend, Ryan Jedlicka. He is an artist, yoga instructor, and generally, just a plain hottie. I met Ryan over a decade ago when we were in school to become art teachers. Crazy. Pause, we were totally prodigies and like 15 in college, so that explains how young we are now...

Oh, AND, I am trading the painting for one of Ryan's pieces. So excited.

This is normally the part where I would do my interview/portrait profile...but my other super talented friends at Shine Creative have taken care of the interview themselves.
