I have had only what I can call, a summery summer. I've done Vegas, Miami and OC, spent a decent amount of time poolside, and have had lots of buddy time. I can't complain. I usually take extended leisure with a healthy dose of guilt for not being in my studio more, but this time, you know what? I'm fine with it. Sure, my purse lifts a little lighter with the lack of bills in my wallet, but it's been worth it. Fall will come and I'll be right back to work mode. It'll be commission season and I have a sweet show booked for the end of 2012. Don't tell me that I'm just trying to convince myself. Because I'm already convinced. It's cool, I promise.
Since there is too much summer to recap, I'm going to make this simple. This is my summer according to Instagram. Captions not necessarily included. Somehow, amidst all of the party times I've had this summer, I've managed to get in a decent amount of reading. Aside from the stack pictured here, I also got in A Visit From The Goon Squad, Fear And Loathing, Veronika Decides To Die, and now I'm finishing out the summer by finally reading American Psycho.

I went to the Catonsville parade for the 4th of July this year. My spray tan was melting through my stay cool shirt and I think I was being funny on Twitter. That may or may not be true as I was replacing all the water that I sweated out with Lime-a-ritas...
I'm really looking forward to getting back to this painting of Jen Miz. Hopefully it will be in my winter show. Also, Facebook 2 happened.
